The next morning was just as pretty as the sun rose and all the pinks appeared! We would spend today on Banks Peninsula which is named after Joseph Banks, the botanist on Captain James Cook's first circumnavigation of New Zealand in 1769. They were the first Europeans to sight the peninsula.
